Night tables— Should I have one in my baby’s room?

If this is a question you continue to ask yourself, then here are some things that might help you make a decision. Yes it is true that a night table is not necessary in a baby nursery. After all, your baby is a baby, and he/she will not be using it any time soon. But the night table is about convenience for YOU. At night when you are in your rocking chair/glider (we sell these beautiful, modern rockers), it can be very convenient to have a night stand next to you with a soft lighted lamp and a bottle nearby. If you do not have a glider, you still may want a night table next to your crib with a lamp nearby. And, as mentioned above, you could place the bottle there for feeding purposes. Buying the night table early on gives you one less thing to think about as the child gets bigger and you need to think about adding pieces for his/her room. Moreover, if you purchased a convertible crib, well then there you go mommy, the room is already coming together nicely!

Why are Hutches useful? Many customers come into our stores and ask if they should purchase a hutch or not. For those of you who are unsure of what a “hutch” is exactly, or who refer to it as something different, please refer back to our website and look at the pictures of our different furniture collections at www.mhcfurniture.com. This question is not always easy to answer since it is entirely up to the buyer. However, here are some reasons why people do choose to purchase a hutch to place on top of their dressers, chiffrobes, desks, change tables, and so forth:

They look great and can give your space a more complete appearance.
They are great for extra storage.
They have one fixed shelf and one adjustable shelf, thus you can remove the lower shelf when changing your baby.
Our MHC hutches have L brackets on the back with four screws to keep it secured in place.
Books, toys, and pictures look great on the shelves.
If you are using your piece below for changing purposes (your dresser, change table, chiffrobe), you have easy to reach shelves for your diapers and bottles.
Lastly, the hutch is a nice piece for more privacy while changing your baby.

MHC has just recently received shipment of our COLGATE mattresses. This isn’t to be confused with Colgate oral hygiene products. No, this is something entirely different. Colgate is a mattress manufacturer located in the heart of the Southern United States. Since its inception, 1955, the business has done all of its manufacturing in Georgia. They are the crib mattress specialist, receiving international recognition and awards for their products for decades. MHC is fortunate enough to have their three top-sellers; the Classica I Foam Mattress, the Visco-Classica, and the Natural I.
