Definition of "Being Green" to MHC

Mother Hubbard's defines "BEING GREEN" as reducing the overall impact of our products on the environment. We are concerned about the environment that we live in and its impact on our children and future generations. Our goal is to provide environmentally friendly products that are the safest for children around the world.

How is MHC Being Green?

MHC maintains a manufacturing facility within Canada that uses only local labor and resources within the community. All lumber that we purchase is made locally within North America. We are committed to local manufacturing and avoiding the carbon footprint of shipping overseas.

MHC uses completely non-toxic glues and our paints and stains are 100% lead-free. We have always used low VOC finishes in all of our products. All of MHC's suppliers are certified by recognizable green organizations such as the FSC (Forest Scholarship Community).

We are earth friendly and we manufacture with a conscience. We feel a social responsibility for the production cycle; beginning with raw material acquisition through to manufacturing, end use, and final disposal. Moreover, Mother Hubbards is committed to recycling all bi-products that result during our manufacturing process.

Our Commitment to You & The Environment

We continue to refine our manufacturing and packaging processes as well as delivery methods in order to reduce our carbon footprint.
